Letters to the Editor
As the President of the Bronxville Public Library Board of Trustees, I would like to give thanks to our wonderful community.
All of us need friends, and the Bronxville Public Library is no exception! I would like to thank the Friends of the Bronxville Public Library and the entire community for their generosity. This past year has been a difficult one. All of us who love the library are indebted to those who gave so freely of themselves in response to the challenges we faced. I especially want to thank The Group of Nine artists who depicted our Village so beautifully, the merchants who give so much to all of us, our Friends who have worked so hard in many creative ways, and of course our Director, Laura Eckley. You all made a difference. I wish you a very joyful New Year!
Victoria Manley, President
Bronxville Public Library Board of Trustees
Gramatan Village provides older individuals and their families in the greater Bronxville community with the information and access to services they need in order to remain engaged and in the community as they get older. Gramatan Village is the one phone call members make when they need a handyman, a ride to medical appointments, help in running errands or a home safety check. In addition to these services Gramatan Village provides a wonderful social network and monthly calendar of special events, lectures, luncheons and shopping trips.
The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe recognizes the importance of making our communities supportive of older individuals. The Fund generously supports our Special Membership program for individuals of modest means. Thanks to The Community Fund, 50 individuals participate in our Special Membership program and are connected to an attentive network of support. I strongly encourage generous contributions to The Community Fund so that the good work the fund supports may continue.
