Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee Initiates Search For 2012 School Board Trustee Candidates
POSTED:JANUARY 2012
Bronxville’s Committee for Non-Partisan Nomination and Election of School Trustees (NPC), which is beginning its 76th year of serving the Bronxville community, announced today that it has commenced its 2012 search for candidates to serve as Bronxville School Trustees. An open meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24th, at 8:00 p.m. in the Yeager Room of the Bronxville Public Library in connection with the NPC’s process of seeking and nominating candidates for School Trustee.
At this meeting, the NPC will solicit input from the community on the selection of school board candidates. The NPC particularly wishes to hear what members of the community feel are the most important issues facing the school and what qualifications and characteristics the community would like to see in their school trustees.
The NPC encourages all Bronxville residents to attend this important meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may email questions to BXV_NPC@yahoo.com. Please include your name and address as anonymous questions will not be accepted. Questions will be selected at random and directed to our special guest panel. Dr. David Quattrone, School Superintendent, and Dr. James Hudson, President of the School Board of Trustees, will address the NPC and the community to provide their views on the job of School Trustee and the significant issues facing the school and the Board.
Residents are also invited to provide comments by contacting any member of the Committee or by calling Bob Galbraith at 793-9201
